TomorrowToday.biz is a company with offices
in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban in South Africa, and through
our clients and business networks, a global presence in countries
on nearly every continent. 12 passionate people (at last count)
are responsible for its operation.
WHAT WE DO
It is quite difficult to explain exactly what we do to people who
have never seen us. We're often confused with motivational
speakers (most of whom provide hype with little content or lasting
effectiveness). We're sometimes thought of as consultants
(most of whom of complicated, proprietary models and methods that
only they can implement). In fact, we're somewhere in between.
We provide WORLD CLASS CONTENT,
packaged in such a way that even in a short presentation, people
understand not only the what and how of our frameworks, but also
the why as well. We believe
that this understanding of the reasons behind our actions and attitudes
is critical in effecting changed behaviours. We also believe
that it is critical that every framework
we present is accepted at a personal, as well as business level.
Only then will people truly take it in, and allow it to inform
their attitudes and actions.
WE THINK OF WHAT WE DO IN THREE
CATEGORIES:
1. Frameworking
- understanding why things happen is as important as understanding
what happened. We have a unique ability to package complex
information about how and why the world works (and how and why it
will work in the future) - we call this frameworking. It is
a practical application of the emerging sciences of systems thinking
and quantum theory. It is useful in "paradigm shifting"
(an overused cliché, but powerful when done properly) and
genuinely changing behaviours. Frameworks are useful at all
levels of the organisation, from the strategy team trying to make
sense of the avalanche of data that comes their way, to the factory
floor staff who benefit from seeing how their small task influences
the whole. We spend time developing frameworks that help make
sense of the world - these are fairly generic. On request
of clients, we also work on industry, product and company-specific
frameworks. Our frameworking is delivered by way of storytelling
and gamebreaking.
2. Storytelling
- Our presentations, workshops, writings (books, articles,
etc) and resources are more than simply passing on information. We
aim to impact not just the head, but the heart and soul as well.
We therefore use many different communication techniques, and like
to think of our style as advanced storytelling. Not "once
upon a time" children's stories, but the type of mythical and
mystical storytelling by a sage that has the power to transform.
In tomorrow’s world leaders will be known as ‘Storytellers'.
3. GameBreaking
- Where necessary, we provide creative energy to help individuals,
teams and companies take the next step. We think of this as
more than mentoring or process consulting - it is about sharing
our client's lives, and helping create breakthroughs for them.
Our style can be called edutaining.
From a solid, academic framework, using the most up-to-date research
on human development, education and communication, we create a multi-sensory,
multi-media package, delivered by highly professional speakers who
are experts in their fields, gifted communicators, use humour as
a powerful "weapon", have sensitivity to different audiences
and contexts, and are able to adapt each presentation according
to the specific needs of the client, the event and the participants
in the session itself.
In addition to keynote addresses, conference speaking and short
interactive seminars, each of our offerings is also packaged as
a workshop, and is unpacked further in books and monthly Resources
for [Busy] Business People (R4BP) multimedia CDs.
